It seems like after the screws are removed, the top of the case should lift slightly, then slide forward past the switch posts, and once it's free of those I'd expect it to lift as far as the top of the handle.LIRE COMMENT AJUSTER LA TENSION DU FIL DUNE MACHINE COUDRE. The handles on the switches on the top front of the machine slide off. There are 2-3 clearly visible screws on the top of the case. All you have to do is turn the knob to a higher or lower. The handle is still in place, but the slots that the handle goes through extend almost to the back of the top of the case.Googling surprisingly didn't get me anywhere. (I already have the handles off of the switches at this point.) I can see into the case from the back, and it doesn't look like there's anything that would prevent it from moving forward several centimeters. Problem is, I can't seem to get past "lift slightly" - the piece in no way wants to slide forward more than a millimeter or two.
